Gong Meditation with Healing Touch

Allow yourself to take the time you deserve to rest, relax and heal. Kenny will lead us through a 2 hour journey inward while we bathe in the healing vibrations of the gongs and other sacred sounds. Lia will help us to let go of stress and promote relaxation with gentle adjustments and healing touch.
Understanding Stress: The Yoga Sutras and Exploring the Anatomy of Stress
Everyone has stress in their lives, in fact some stress is necessary and productive. In this workshop, we will explore the body's response to stress as well as the tools that yoga gives us to combat unwanted suffering. The workshop will also include a relaxing asana practice and several pranayama exercises. (This course is being instructed by a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP®) and will count for 3.0 CEU's for instructors registered with Yoga Alliance).

Yoga Teacher Training Weekend Immersion Modules
If you are not enrolled in our teacher training program but would like to attend one of the weekend modules, please join us! This will not make you eligible to receive a teacher training certification. This is for those who would like to immerse in a specific topic of the training for personal knowledge or interest.
Price includes optional yoga classes, 10-11am Saturday & 9-10am, 10:30-11:30am Sunday.
10 hours Yoga Alliance Continuing education credits upon completion of module.

Module 1: History and Philosophy of Yoga
Learn the origins of this 5000 year old practice, the spiritual foundations of yoga and understand the ethos of yoga beyond the physical poses. Learn philosophy and principles that are applicable to your modern life.
Module 2: Anatomy for Yoga (Western and Eastern)
Learn the yogic concepts for health through study of Eastern Medicines energy systems of the Chakras and Meridians. Learn the Western medicine structures of the bones, muscles and body systems as they relate to yoga.
Module 3: Study of Hatha Yoga Asanas, Alignment and Sequence
Deepen your understanding to safely practice and/or teach traditional Hatha Yoga asanas with focus on alignment, ways to modify and intensify. Skills gained can be used for a beginners series, gentle, basics or advanced practitioners.
Module 4: Assisting Immersion
Not every pose is designed for every body. Learn to evaluate your own practice and/or students individually and respond to particular needs. Know when and where to add props, understand when to go deeper or when to pull back.
Module 5: Study of Vinyasa Flow Asanas, Alignment and Sequence
Learn to safely practice and/or teach Vinyasa Flow with focus on alignment, ways to modify and intensify. Breath and flow are key elements of this practice. Can be sequenced from a slow flow to a power flow.
Module 6: Study of Yin and Restorative Asanas
Study the principles of and safely practice and/or teach Yin and Restorative Yoga for any level of practitioner to balance yang lifestyles.
